How to Cut a Mango

  1. Stand the mango with its stem end down on a cutting board and hold. Position a knife at about 1/ 4 inch from the mango’s widest center then cut down through. Flip the fuit around and repeat the process on its other side.
  2. It’s mostly the mango seed which is left in the middle after the process.
  3. Proceed in cutting parallel slices to the mango’s flesh. Be careful though not to cut through its skin.
    With the use of a large spoon, scoop out the mango slices out of its skin.

Inside Out Method

  1. Stand the mango with its stem end down on a cutting board and hold. Position a knife at about 1/ 4 inch from the mango’s widest center then cut down through. Flip the fuit around and repeat the process on its other side. It’s mostly the mango seed which is left in the middle after the process.
  2. Proceed in cutting parallel slices to the mango’s flesh. Be careful though not to cut through its skin. Turn the mango’s cheek into 1/ 4 rotation. To create a checkboard pattern, cut another parallel slices set.
  3. Push the mango’s skin up from under to turn the scored cheek inside out.
  4. Use a spoon or a knife to scrape off the chunks of the mango from its skin.

Cutting a Mango With the Use of a Mango Splitter

  1. Stand the mango with its stem end down on a cutting board and hold. Center your mango splitter just above the mango. The splitter’s opening must be aligned with the mango’s widest part.
  2. To separate the flesh of the mango from its seed, firmly push down.
  3. Use the inside out or the slice and scoop method to separate the flesh of the mango from its skin in slices, dices or cubes.
