  • Pen
  • Plastic cup
  • Several elastic bands which are medium-width
  • Plasticine or sticky tack
  • 6 chopsticks

  1. On your table, start arranging 3 chopsticks laid flat creating a triangular shape. The ends must overlap each other. With the use of elastic bands, go on securing the ends.
  2. A pyramid which is freestanding can now be created. You just simply need to attach the 3 remaining sticks to its original triangle. To secure together your sticks on hand, elastic bands should be used. As much as possible, try keeping the stick’s ends which are thinner at the pyramid’s top. The bottoms which are heavier will help in stabilizing the pyramid.
  3. With your plastic cups on hand, create 3 holes in your plastic with the use of the pen. Holes must be spaced evenly exactly under the cup’s rim.
  4. Through each of the holes in the cup that you made, one elastic band must placed and tied. You have to be sure that each of the elastic band is knotted securely.
  5. In order for the triangle to be facing you directly, you need to rotate the pyramid. The cup must be positioned in a way where the opening should be facing you. Each end of the elastic band must be tied to each other. Do this until your cup is completely suspended.
  6. With any ammunition of your choice for loading, fire your catapult. You can do this by pulling back the cup and then letting go. For more support, you have to hold the pyramids back.

  1. Gather all materials. This would include paper, glue, tape and popsicle sticks. 50 popsicle sticks will be needed for the bridge.
  2. A sheet of paper should be taped flat on the table in a way where the long side should face you.
  3. At the paper bottom, you tape down 2 popsicle sticks. Use thin pieces of tape for this. The sticks should be spaced apart into its center area. Both paper edges should be where your ends will touch.
  4. An additional 2 popsicle sticks must be placed at about 4-inch distance preceding the 1st two. To connect the bottom and top, lay one popsicle stick on both ends. This should angle toward its middle. Glue the sticks on.
  5. Making triangle shape for its side, go on in placing the diagonal sticks.
  6. The same process should be repeated for the other side. Let both sides dry completely afterwards.
  7. Get 2 stacks of books. Space them apart to you desired bridge width. Get each side and proceed in taping it against the book stacks.
  8. Some popsicle sticks should be glued to be able to connect the bridge’s bottom and top. You have to be sure that the bridge doesn’t lean. Allow everything to completely dry after this. You can then the strength of the bridge to be able to determine how much it can bear.
